The day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: A Taste of Ho Chi Minh City
Touch down in Ho Chi Minh City. Spend your first afternoon wandering past the French colonial landmarks in District 1. Marvel at the red-brick facade of the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the elegant Central Post Office right next door. As night falls, dive headfirst into Ben Thanh Market or join a vintage Vespa food tour to sample your first authentic Banh mi and sizzling crispy pancakes.
Day 2: History & Sacred Temples
Spend the morning uncovering Vietnam’s poignant history at the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace. In the afternoon, escape the heat by heading to Cholon area to explore the atmospheric Thien Hau Temple, where spirals of incense hang heavy from the rafters. Wrap up your day with a sunset cocktail at a rooftop bar overlooking the glittering Saigon River.

Day 3: The Mekong Delta’s Floating Worlds
Leave the high-rises behind and drive south to the Mekong Delta, the nation's "rice bowl". Board a traditional wooden boat to cruise through narrow canals shaded by water coconuts. Stop at local workshops to see how coconut candy and rice paper are made, then feast on the regional delicacy: Elephant Ear Fish gourami wrapped in fresh herbs. Travel onward to Can Tho to stay the night.
Day 4: Sunrise Market & Flight to Paradise
Wake up at dawn to catch the spectacular Cai Rang Floating Market. Watch as hundreds of boats navigate the waters, selling everything from pineapples to pumpkins, each dangling their produce from long bamboo poles. Pull up alongside a noodle boat to enjoy a steaming bowl of tapioca rice noodle for breakfast. Head back to Ho Chi Minh City or fly directly from Can Tho to Phu Quoc Island. Catch your first island sunset with a cold beer on the beach.

In the afternoon, visit a traditional fish sauce factory or a black pepper farm to see how Phu Quoc's world-famous culinary staples are produced.
